- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆A total rip off this place. I called in with my wife for an early evening tea and ordered sausages and mash and fish for her. When my sausages and mash arrived it consisted of two sausages in a shallow dish of mash not more than 1.5 cm deep. No where in the UK have I been given two sausages when ordering this dish. I commented immediately and the waitress then brought another sausage and a small amount of mash. This was good service but totally unnecessary if the meal had been prepared properly beforehand. Even put together I wouldnt have classed it as a good helping! My wife’s dish was equally very small in size and for this I was charged £7.95 for the sausages and mash and £9.95 for the fish. When I complained I was told by the person taking the money that it was "the size of portion that the chef had been told to serve". He missed completely the point that this was obviously a management decision to rip off the general public not a kitchen mistake. The food quality was good, the decor very nice so why such a poor overall portions?By Admin, December 01, 2020
